For Four - Live (Synthstrom Festival #4)
Просмотров 3083 года назад
Playing Live - with little or no prepared work, improvising - the spur of the one moment, is what I strive for in my music. This piece starts with an empty Synthstrom Deluge and the track is created on the fly (with the most basic presets (Synth 1, Kit 1) for you Delugians) and builds from there. An improvised guitar solo adds to the atmosphere. Prepared for the Online Synsthstrom Festival #4 E...

Someday My Vaccine Will Come

An Antiviral Audiovisual Vaccination. The musical search for a vaccine against the Corona Virus. A genetic algorithm generated the chords for the Jazz standard "Someday my prince will come" and SonicPI plays them on a Modal Argon 8. Live improvisation on top of it. That is one of the best drum solos I’ve ever seen, he truly is one of the fewest of the few if not the only contemporary drummer who thinks in Melody’s as opposed to complicated orchestrations around the kit. Thank you for your wonderful video!
I think Bill's melodies are complicated orchestrations too
Thank you for the super interesting videos. As much as I can see, Tana has changed since you made the video. And when trying to add the organization as an instance and adding a PARENT value, as you demonstrate at minute 4:15 of the video, it does not work. Can you please explain what the parent value does and what should be done to make it work in the recent release? Thank you.
I don't see the link. Could you please repost the comment with the link? It seems to have dropped off
It's still there in the description: app.tana.inc?nodeid=prMg0WbQMi
@@jens-christianfischer thanks!
This could be huge. Having a way of easily sharing and collaborating on SuperTags would lower the barrier to entry for Tana. Great work!
thank you - there's much more to do yet...
@@jens-christianfischer Off top of mind you could auto-fill obvious fields too. If I am taking a node with the text "The Hobbit" as #tpl-Book then the Author field could default to "John Ronald Reuel Tolkien" or "J. R. R. Tolkien" for example.
When are you going to open up tana or go live already
I'm not a part of Tana, the company - so unfortunately I have no idea...
Just click "Option > add to sidebar" Great
oh - I didn't realize that - that's great
Can you invite me?
Unfortunately I’m out of invites
❤❤❤
Thanks :)
I hadn't watched this yet, Jens-Christian! Really good, clear setup!
What software are you using here to record your screen?
I am using Loom to record screen and myself
This looks really interesting, I can’t wait to get my hands on it
AFAIK the Tana team is ramping up invites, so it shouldn't be too long
Thanks for the shoutout! :) Love this series 🚀
Thanks :) I'm learning quite a lot from you too
Bravo! So interesting to see your workflow and the ad-hoc Tana way of building structure, mix-and-matching structure. Or Emergent structures as you say. I will adopt that term.
Thank you for the video series. Much appreciated. I have taken away so many golden nuggets from your walkthroughs
that makes me really happy, thanks fo rthe kind words!
Amazing video! Excellent guidance on setting up a team management environment.
thank you so much for the kind words
Fire fire from my heroes ❤
You're blowing my mind with how you're setting things up in this video series. I just started using Tana two days ago, moving from Workflowy->Roam->Logseq->Tana and I finally feel like there is a solution that I can call home. Thank you for creating these videos!
Thanks so much for the kind words. Tana is indeed mind blowing :)
Hey, great video! Around 4:30 you were showing the legacy config - you can also use "Set default tag for content items" from the command line.
ah - thanks. I didn't know that. (And good to know)
Bill went full cymbalholic on this clip! 😂
GOOD GOD BILL
Masters at work.
👍👍👍
Oh this is great. You've made it feel like it was really a live (with an audience) performance, where decisions were made considering the vibe of that audience. And the flow of this is great -- it just unfolds with a casual certainty.
Awesome tones & textures Jens !
Thank you so much :)
Great version, loving it!
So good! Nice to see the trio from this angle, with all the comping going on.
bill has insane groove~!
Love this!
Thank you. A new piece is coming soon
These great players live together! A great swing lesson as well as how important the pulse is in jazz.
Peter's signature note placement is so original and hip.
total toll - gratuliere - gefällt mir sehr gut
das war Daniela.....
nothing to be compared to this trio amazing!!!
wow you barely give the little thing a chance, you should have hired a pro to come in and bag all of that foot tall grass and take it out of there
Thank you so much, this version is really great !
Nice
Excellent bro, thanks.
Bill had his Wheaties that afternoon
Thank You. I Learn Bill's Druming. I Saw Bill's motion well.

Haha....love the NIN reference.
I don't know Ableton, so I can't comment on its virtues. I quite like Reaper - and the price is just right!
Oh I'm converted, bye Ableton. Thanks J-C..
Excellent. Really straight forward. Thanks.
Nice video. Very helpful!
